Root canal treatment is done by lifting treatment that has been infected pulp tissue from the pulp and root canal room, then filled by a dense root canal filling material to prevent further disorder or re-infection. The goal is to retain teeth in the jaw as long as possible, so that the functions of the dental arch is still good.Root canal treatment requires patience so often requires more than one visit, varies depending on the case.
RCT stages are as follows:
- Phase 1
Crowns in the grave to gain entry to the room the pulp. All patches and damaged tissue in the tooth (caries) removed.
- Phase 2
Pulp is removed from the pulp and root canal room. A small instrument called a "file" is used to clean the root canal. Closed with a temporary dental fillings to protect the pulp and root canal room to keep them clean. Temporary patches will be dismantled on subsequent visits.
- Phase 3
Root canal filled and made impermeable with a material that prevents bacterial entry. Rooms up to the surface of the pulp of the tooth crown covered with temporary fillings.
- Phase 4
Temporary fillings removed and replaced with permanent patches or made a "crown" (sheath teeth).
- Stage 5
Root canals, fillings fixed, or "crown" are evaluated for presence / absence of problems. Once the RCT is completed, the teeth will be supplied nutrients by bone and gum around it.
In the root canal treatment ( RCT ) of the teeth, the teeth sometimes experience pain, because nerve pulp can not entirely dead, it could be because the cleanup unfinished. When the roots have a crooked tooth, then the level of difficulty of cleaning the root canal is higher than the normal straight root canal. Not to mention if the primary root canals have branches. Therefore, RCT can sometimes fail due to the above factors.
So, if you feel lazy to go back and forth to undergo RCT and its failure to consider factors, may be the rebellious tooth extracted. But the important thing to remember, teeth that had "died" should be made so that denture teeth next to it does not shift.
