Homemade Teeth Whitening
There is a cheap solution available if you want to do your own homemade teeth whitening. You can go ahead and get a teeth whitening tray for around $300 if you wish, but here is a method you can do for a few bucks:
First of all, buy a gum shield (the kind worn by footballers). You can get these for around a dollar at Walmart. If they have an attachment to connect to the helmet, just cut that off. Take 2 cups of boiling water, put them in a glass bowl and microwave for a couple of minutes.
Then immerse the gumshield in the water for few seconds - it should become pliable. Take the shield, put it in your mouth and and press it into place. Try to fit it closely around your teeth, then keep inhaling and pressing until it is a snug fit on your teeth. Before long it will cool down and start to set.
Then - voila! You have a pair of custom teeth whitening trays. Take note which one is the top,and which is the bottom. Now, take a tube of teeth whitening bleach, such as Plus White. Squeeze a little on to your index finger and work it all round your teeth, making sure you get it into all the gaps. Then rub a film of the bleach over the surface of your teeth and immediately put your homemade trays into your mouth.
It may be a good idea to do put in the trays while you're having a shower - that way, you can spit the residue out as you go. (It doesn't taste so good!) You should have the trays on for at least 5 minutes, so a 10-minute shower would be fine.
Then take out the trays and you're done - just give your teeth a good brushing to remove the excess gel, and check out that bright smile!
